Specialised Rehabilitation Equipment

At Fitness on Q, we’ve carefully selected equipment that moves with your body — not against it. Whether you're recovering from surgery, managing joint pain, or easing back into fitness, our machines offer smooth, supportive movement that prioritises comfort and control. On this page, you’ll find a closer look at our rehab-friendly equipment, including machines designed for safe strength training, cardiovascular support, and functional mobility. Every piece has been chosen with accessibility, ease of use, and long-term joint health in mind.

Hoist ROC-IT Lat Pulldown

Unlike standard lat pulldown machines, the ROC-IT technology dynamically shifts the seat backward during the pulling motion, promoting better posture, joint alignment, and muscle engagement. It's especially effective for:

  • Maintaining lumbar support

  • Encouraging correct scapular movement

  • Accommodating limited mobility users

This kind of machine is perfect for individuals recovering from shoulder injuries or surgeries, and it's safe and supportive for those aged 50+.

Upper Body Ergometer (Arm Cycle)

This arm-powered cardio machine allows users to pedal with their arms, delivering an effective cardiovascular workout without engaging the lower body. It’s an excellent choice for:

  • Users with limited leg function or recovering from lower limb injuries

  • Improving shoulder mobility and upper body endurance

  • Enhancing cardiovascular health in a seated, accessible position

The resistance is adjustable, making it suitable for both beginners and those building strength through rehab.

Hybrid Cycle (Step-Through Design)

This Hybrid Cycle features an easy step-through frame and adjustable, supportive seating — making it highly accessible for those with balance issues, reduced mobility, or lower limb joint concerns. It offers a low-impact, joint-safe cardio option that’s excellent for:

  • Post-knee or hip surgery rehabilitation

  • Improving circulation and endurance without strain

  • Gently rebuilding strength and mobility in the legs

Its smooth pedalling motion and stable design make it ideal for older adults or those returning to exercise after injury, and is one of the few of its kind in Australia.

Fluid Shoulder Press (Water Resistance Trainer)

Unlike traditional weight-based shoulder presses, this machine uses air-based resistance, simulating the feel of pushing through water. The resistance is smooth and joint-friendly, reducing strain and promoting safe, controlled movement. It’s particularly useful for:

  • Strengthening shoulders and arms without jarring impact

  • Supporting post-op or arthritis-affected joints

  • Gradually building upper body strength in a low-risk environment

This machine is a safe and effective alternative for those unable to use free weights or traditional gym presses and one of the only few to be found in Australia.
